Sports The Chinese are quickly becoming avid sports viewers. Popular Chinese players, Yao Ming and Wang Zhizhi, made their start in the CBA but now are associated with the NBA in the United States. Table Tennis – One of the most popular sports in China is table tennis, a.k.a. ping pong. Players take this sport very seriously and training can be grueling. Sports fans across the world enjoy watching the Chinese players in action. The fast paced game will have you on the edge of your seat at times. Table tennis has also become a favorite Olympic sport for viewers to watch. With the Olympics coming to Beijing in 2008, you can be assured that table tennis will be at it’s very best then. Martial Arts - Martial arts is a beautiful art form that the Chinese proudly display when they show off their techniques. Many people from other countries come to China to learn the great art form of martial arts by attending the Siping City Shao Lin Martial Arts Academy.
